PARKURDA MARKETPLACE TO REACH 100 STORES IN 2024

Parkurda Marketplace, which began test orders last year, opened with 15 main and 30 subcategories with a total of 15 stores. The platform aims to reach a total of 100 stores and 70 separate categories by the end of the year, with an expected sales volume of 3 million TL.

Tezmaksan, Turkey's solution partner in the metalworking industry for over 40 years, launched the Parkurda Marketplace platform as a step in its digitalization journey. Parkurda Marketplace, which began test orders in 2023, opened with 15 main and 30 subcategories with a total of 15 stores. The platform, which aims to reach a sales volume of 3 million TL in 2024, plans to increase the number of stores to over 100 and the number of categories to 70 by the end of the year. Efforts are also underway to initiate e-export through the platform. The platform aims to reach 10 thousand customers next year. Hakan Aydoğdu, General Manager of Tezmaksan Inc., said, "We plan to generate a volume of 3 million TL in Parkurda Marketplace in 2024. We have fully determined our main categories for Parkurda Marketplace since day one."

"The digital version of the Thursday Market"

Aydoğdu, who stated that Parkurda Marketplace platform includes not only spare parts but also all products, said, "Our advantage over other marketplaces is that our industrial muscles are very strong. Products completely oriented towards industry go through a rigorous filtering process, and the correct catalog is created. We offer the right part at the right price." Describing the platform as the "digital version of the Thursday Market but with fairer prices," Aydoğdu invited every company in the ecosystem to join. The platform includes a total of 15 main categories, including electrical & electronic, mechanical, industrial automation, bearings, testing & measurement tools, hardware & hand tools, hydraulic & pneumatic, machine accessories, tool holders, cutting tools, consumables, metalworking fluids, machinery & equipment, cooling and ventilation, and education. Aydoğdu stated that they aim to eliminate all the difficulties of e-commerce for SMEs with this platform. Aydoğdu announced that 5 million TL was invested for the first phase of Parkurda Marketplace and 8 million TL for the second phase.

"A project that will make industry appealing to Generation Z"

Aydoğdu, stating that Parkurda Marketplace is a clear bridge among businesses, continued as follows: "Thanks to the platform, we are removing the problem of all companies, from the most rural parts to the most developed points of our country, being able to easily procure parts, and companies that will sell can make the distance with their customers not a problem. Parkurda Marketplace, by quickly putting machines that are idle due to lack of spare parts back into operation, increases vitality in the sector. This also allows us to expand employment and distribute income to all sector stakeholders, large and small." Aydoğdu, who said that Parkurda Marketplace will make industry appealing to Generation Z, commented, "This platform, which allows SMEs to enter e-commerce without investing in a website, is a project that will also transform Turkey's production power."

"Industrialists exhibit patriotism"

Describing machine tools as 'machines that make machines,' Hakan Aydoğdu said, "Our industry is a sector that forms the basis of production. With the impetus of the defense industry, things are going very well in the machine tool sector. But if it weren't for the high cost of financing and rapidly changing regulations, our business volume would be 50% higher. Our industrialists exhibit patriotism, pushing for production under all conditions." Aydoğdu also identified the Far East, America, and Europe as potential markets for sector exports.
