"NON-PRODUCTIVE ECONOMIES COLLAPSE UNDER INFLATION"

As a leading manufacturer of machine tools, Tezmaksan has launched Parkurda Marketplace to enable industrialists to share spare parts among themselves. Speaking at the platform’s launch event, Tezmaksan General Manager Hakan Aydoğdu stated:

*"There is too much waste in the industry. It's time to share even a screwdriver. That’s why we need smart systems like Parkurda. Companies can list their idle inventory, but the real goal is to support machining—machines that make machines—and reduce dependency on imports.

This is not just another e-commerce marketplace. It is the Perşembe Pazarı of e-commerce, but without aggressive vendors trying to upsell you.

We will expand internationally, targeting Europe and the U.S.. Additionally, we are integrating Kapasitematik into the platform to further optimize production efficiency."*

"TURKEY HAS BECOME INDISPENSABLE"

Originally conceptualized in 2017, Parkurda Marketplace launched its test orders in 2023, starting with 15 stores across 15 main and 30 subcategories. In 2024, the platform aims to reach:

  • 100+ stores

  • 70+ categories

  • 3 million TL in sales volume

  • 10,000 customers

Highlighting Turkey’s growing industrial influence, Aydoğdu stated:

*"During the pandemic, a simple car part like a tie rod end was imported from China. When container costs increased 5-6 times, the part price jumped 10 times. This forced companies to start local production.

Now, European orders are flowing into Turkey, proving that our country has become an indispensable manufacturing hub."*

"INDUSTRIALISTS ARE MAKING A PATRIOTIC CONTRIBUTION"

Discussing Turkey’s record-high machine tool usage, Aydoğdu emphasized:

*"Without machine tools, nothing can be manufactured. Imports and exports don’t matter—usage rates do.

Turkey just experienced the highest machine tool usage in its history, which translates into more employment and production.

While projects like TOGG may seem controversial, they are necessary. Today, workers assembling airbags may establish their own companies in the future.

The defense industry has driven massive growth in machine tool usage, and while our sector is doing well, if regulations weren’t constantly changing, we could be 50% more productive.

Industrialists are spending their own money on investments, as leasing rates have dropped from 50% to 30%. They are seizing market opportunities to replace European competitors, making a patriotic contribution to Turkey’s economy. Turkey is a country of chaos—I used to say, 'Even if nothing happens, an earthquake will occur,' and it did. Yet, our industry keeps pushing forward."*

"INVESTMENTS MUST TARGET THE NEW GENERATION"

Highlighting the need for innovation to attract Gen Z, Aydoğdu stated:

*"We must design businesses tailored for younger generations.

For example, we can’t find crane operators—not because the job is hard, but because they can’t check their phones while working.

Our human resources phase for Parkurda is already operating manually, and we have matched 300,000 students with potential employers.

However, legal issues arise when we direct students to workplaces—some institutions lack bureaucratic authority, creating obstacles.

To overcome this, we secured an official employment agency license from İŞKUR.

Our Sivas facility, which exports to 40 countries, has attracted applications from graduates of top universities like Boğaziçi and ODTÜ. Candidates are saying, 'I'm from Sivas, too!', and sending in their CVs.

As manufacturing in the Far East declines, Turkey will expand in this region and South America."*

"TAIWAN TOOK THE PROFITS, WE TOOK THE BURDEN"

Commenting on the impact of sanctions on Russia, Aydoğdu explained:

*"A total of 7 individuals and 36 companies have been sanctioned, banning CNC machine tool sales to Russia.

Since Turkey signed the agreement, exporters must comply—otherwise, industrialists would continue selling.

Meanwhile, Taiwan’s exports to Russia have surged by 50%.

Some claimed they bought machines from Turkey, but in reality, they purchased them themselves and re-sold them.

Despite its size, Russia has never been a major machine tool market, just like the Far East. However, Russia remains an important player in machining and machine tools, just like Turkey."*

With Parkurda Marketplace, Tezmaksan is pioneering the digitalization of Turkey’s industrial sector, ensuring domestic production growth, efficiency, and international expansion in an era where non-productive economies risk collapse.
